About Us
Wollumbin Palms Rainforest Retreat is a unique destination offering guests relaxation, peace and an opportunity to reconnect with nature, themselves and loved ones. This beautiful retreat is set amongst 65-acres of forest in the lush Tweed Hinterlands of NSW, the property features lakes and streams, gardens, fruit tree orchards and walking trails.
We offer an indulgent couples escape with our private and unique luxury lodge accommodation - Air Lodge is a timber Mongolian yurt in a garden by the stream, Earth House is on the ridge with breath-taking vistas of Mt Warning and Water Lodge is a Javanese prayer house by the waterfall and lake. Each lodge features an outdoor spa bath, fireplace for cosy winter nights, air conditioning, kitchenette, BBQ and plush furnishings.

We are the perfect place for small weddings and elopements, proposals, anniversaries, honeymoons or just a romantic escape. We offer pet friendly stay options also.

The retreat is owned by Andrew and Kay and hosted by the ever helpful Alice and has previously be named 'Mount Warning Rainforest Retreat' and also been known as 'Amazing Wollumbin Palms Retreat'.
Location
Our retreat is located at the base of Wollumbin (the Aboriginal name for Mt Warning).
Wollumbin is the first part of Australia to be touched by the new days sunlight.
It is a stunning rock formation created 20 million years ago by a now extinct massive volcano that not only left Wollumbin at its core and rings of mountains and rainforest immediately to the north, west and south, but extended out to the fertile redsoil plains north of the Gold Coast, east to Kingscliff and south to Byron Bay, Bangalow and Lismore. Wollumbin is the heart of this amazing area.

We are located at 112 Mt Warning Road, Mount Warning, NSW just a 40 min drive south of the Coolangatta Airport, and close to Byron Bay and other gorgeous beaches & national parks.
